Types of Ostrich

Ostrich Plumes are very versatile. Premium plumes with full sized, extra long, fluffy herl are popular for gilled nymphs, tails, bodies, tentacles and salmon fly butts. Each plume contains a large selection of various sized herl to tie flies of all sizes.

We use select pieces of our plumes to make our long, fluffy Ostrich Herl. Very popular for gilled nymphs, tails, bodies, tentacles and salmon fly butts.

Ostrich Mini Plumes are a naturally small plume with short barbules and are ideal for small nymph, midge, and scud patterns.
