All three grades are a very good value. These little birds are from India and are closely related to their native wild fowl. Originally, they were the only good source of stiff dry fly hackle.
DFRN Prime - good feather count, ranges in size 10-20"s, lots of 14-16"s.
DFRN Dyed yellow and dyed red are not available in prime.
DFR1 #1 - excellent quality with fewer 14-16"s than prime
DFR2 #2 - wider hackle with some web, not as long or as stiff.
